  • Glass size

Does anyone know a source for a pattern for the windshield glass for a 1940 commander or president? The local glass company threw my old glass away then found out they made the window to big. They tried twice and then gave up. They didn't charge me but they chipped my brand new paint job and left me with nothing to work with. Maybe even measurements would let me cut down the glass that is too big. also does anyone know if the 1939 models used different size glass. Studebaker may have used a 39 gasket and window in my car. It was assembled in October of 1939 and came with a 1939 generator instead of the larger unit used in 1940. So there is a possibility the gasket for 1940 is the problem?? Any ideas?

Well I struck out. Phillips Auto glas,s who seem to be the only glass co in Turning Wheels doesn't have a pattern. Does anyone have another glass company to recomend that might have the pattern?
