A tip for the frugal amoung us. Wicks aircraft supply sells "Micro spheres" So fine it looks like talcum powder. (hollow balls) Mix it with any paint of your choice, from elastomeric roofing paint (like tar) to Exterior latex in the color of your choice. Micro spheres are the "secret ingredient" in Lizard Skin. Instead of 70 bucks a gallon, plus freight, you can get the spheres for about 6 a gallon and 12 shipping (so i got 2 gallons - same freight) Mixed it with exterior latex from the "mistake bin" at lowes ($5 a gallon for the top shelf paint). have put 2 coats on the inside of our unfinished 28 ford. no interior except seats. the difference was amazing. Doors close with out the tinny ringing noise. sound is muffled, even has some heat resistance. Plan on insulating everything with foil enclosed bubble wrap (Lowes - cheap). Will only use high dollar stuff under the carpeting. A buddy did this and it was amazing. $50 instead of $500.

Great Job, Henry! Any estimate on what the weight of all that totals?

Another little item that helps with noise on a CK, is the rubber moulding that goes between the hood and the cowl. I have seen a couple of them with that thing missing, and they tend to transfer more noise than with it. Small, but important.

I see some people using the Rino liner (spray on bed liner). does it work as a sound deadner.
