  • Interior: Replacement Dashpad for 62 Lark Cruiser

    Hi, all.

One of the parts I inherited when I got my Cruiser was a replacement dashpad. I have the dashpad and I have the dashboard out. I test fitted and it seems that it should go together well. However, my question is whether I need a heat gun or something to soften up the edges in order for me to pull it as close to the dashboard edge as possible.

I also inherited some spray on adhesive and a small jar of contact cement. Would I use both for this?

    Thanks in advance!

Clean the metal well, primer it if it is rusty. Let it dry well, and use the trim glue. Let it set a few minutes before clamping the edge of the pad in place. Use lots of clamps.

Thanks for the advice! I never thought to use clamps.
