I just bought a rebuilt '64 289 to install in my '53 Commander Starliner. Before I install it, I'd like to paint it the correct '64 color, but I don't know what that color is. Can someone point me to the information or tell me what color it should be? Thanks Howard

Since you are putting in into a 53, why not paint it the 53 green, so it looks right under the hood?RadioRoy, specializing in AM/FM conversions with auxiliary inputs for iPod/satellite/CD player. In the old car radio business since 1985.

Roy, it's a personal thing with me, but I just don't like the '53 engine green. Besides, the car is not original; presently a '56 289, converted from automatic trans. to 3 speed w/overdrive, converted to 12 volts, etc..Howard - Los Angeles chapter SDC
