Fuel System: R-1 carter carburetor repair kit

How many different carter 4 barrel carburetors where put on R-1 1964 hawk.Was it just one or a couple
of different carter types.I need a repair kit and I see three or four numbers. Where would find the number on the carburetor.

Number is on the right front mounting pad. shop around for a QUALITY kit not a FLAPS special! most kits have a leather pump and it will dry out over time and cause problems. book shows a 3725s for 64 R1. Luck Doofus

Gerald, my 64 R1 still has its original AFB. It's a 3589s.

Ivorydan, dumb mistake on my part. 3589S is correct.3725S is for supercharged cars. thanks for pointing that out, and thanks for keeping the AFB and not going edelbrock. Luck Doofus

AFB's are getting so old and worn out that Edelbrock is often the best solution. And they are sssooooo nice!
