  • Electrical: Removal of Headlight Rims - '60 Lark

I recently purchased a 1960 Lark. I need to replace a headlight bulb, and can't find any info on that in the Shop Manual, except it says, "remove the headlight rim". How does one remove the headlight rim? I have several K body cars from '54 to '62 and the headlight rim on those has a screw in the bottom front area, and when removed the rim comes up and off a slot at the top.

Get your head down low and look up. The screw is in the bottom surface of the upper headlight ring, in front of the top of the headlight bulb.
