Engine: Anyone know a vendor "64hawkgt", in San Jose?

Wow, .040 oversize. Is it just that everybody wants less turned off of the crank, or in your experience does this work for long life or high revs? Fill me in please.

I show that only Champion 169/170 Engines have .040 and .060 undersize Rod Bearings available.
THAT sounds even more scary than on Larger V8 Rods!

All Studebaker V8s have forged crankshafts and NASCAR engines turn 9,000 RPMs with a 3.25" stroke crank and 1.888" rod bearings. This would be .112" undersize on a 259" crank, so maybe no worries at .040"?

I run 1.88 bearing on my Bonneville engine. Have only run to 8,000 RPM. I wouldn't worry too much about being .040 under.
