  • Electrical: Tail Light wiring: questions ??

I have double filament bulbs out back in the aftermarket tail light case with 2 wires coming out of the back ( Red & Black). One of them lights up much brighter than the other (Red maybe).

I need to re-wire the tail lights and want to know which filament shares which connection(s):

    Brakes / Directionals / Tails ? ? ?

I've looked at the later wiring diagrams and see the stop & tail wires vs. the directional wires. Who shares and who gets the brighter filament ??

Brake lights and directional signals get the brighter filament. The directional signal switch interrupts the brake light electrons when the signals are on. Tail lamps get the dimmer filament.

My recommendation would be to call Larkworks out of Stockton, KS.

I agree with Skip, for what that is worth .
