Hello.
Just wondering if anyone have mounted a three point safety belt harness in their mid-Fifties hard top(pillarless coupe)?
I am thinking of putting a original Sixties safety belt "system" from another car brand in my Starliner?
It seems some other manufacturers have put the "upper, rear" mount for the three-point in the area below the rear side window, or just rear of the lower rear corner of that window, depending on the manufacturer. For instance some Mercedes convertibles and two door coupes from the Eighties and early Nineties has such a set up. Some solutions utilise a main upper, rear mount approximately next to the seat back of the rear seat. This mount deals with forces on impact. Than another mount is made/ put just rear of the front seat, as a guide/ guidance for the seat belt.
Would something like this work in a K-body?
Any thoughts/ ideas/ experience on this..?
I could of course just put in a two point harness, or a four point harness. I just like the look of the three point belt system I have come across:-)
