  • Electrical: Windshield wiper motor

I was looking at Studebaker parts on eBay and there was a windshield wiper motor being sold for a 63/4 hawk and 63/4 champ. I am assuming that 63 is the year, don't have any idea what the 4 means. From what I can see from the pictures posted it looks like the same motor and bracket that I have on my 56 Golden Hawk. Did they use the same motor and bracket from 56 to 63?

It's the same for '53 thru '64 C/K's. The motor was different for the earlier 6 volt units but they all bolt up.

63/4 is just saying 1963 and 64. The motors are the same dimensionally but 1963-on have a four-wire motor. Earlier cars use a three wire motor.
