  • Electrical: Fuel gauge sender wiring

The gas gauge on my 64 Hawk died. I would like to know if anyone out there knows for sure which wire goes to which post?? Red sender wire on top--or vice versa????

The 12 Volt Acc. Power should be on the bottom, and the Sending Unit wire with the OHM's resistance coming from the sender on the Top.

I think this is a "Tech. Question" for the Tech. Forum.

OK , It is the gage that is ambiguous in the shop manual. with only one wire, it is pretty hard to mess up the wiring on the sender! Let's delete this whole thread!!! Thanks again , I have my answer.
