  • Engine: 1947 Champion Front Engine mount change

It looks like this is similar to do for 47 to 49. It seems like there is a little plate that bolts to the front frame cross member which needs to be removed first. Nothing in the shop manual on how to remove it. The bolt heads on the front bolts seem about impossible to get at without taking out the radiator? Anyone done this recently and have any tricks? Thanks. Neil

Shop manual shows the front mount on page 80. R&R is in the Operation & Flat Rate book. They make it sound as easy as rolling off a log.

Thanks Dwain. I think I will do it over the winter. I think taking off the two splash panels will make it easier to see up in there too.
