  • Spring swap?

My '64 Daytona Wagonaire has the original heavy duty rear springs (six leaf). I think they are probably what JP has been calling "cop car" springs. I plan to replace them with a NOS set of the same springs. My '64 Dayton convertible has the basic four leaf rear springs and they need new bushings. Is there any reason why I couldn't (or shouldn't) use the old six-leaf springs, re-bushed, to replave the weak four-leaf springs on the convert?

I think that would work fine, even older, weakened HD springs will bring the rear of the rag top up.

I would take the 6 leavers and remove one leaf, put new bushings front and rear. 6 leaves are a bit much for even a convert.
