  • Electrical: Battery box and hold down from 2R16A

Free to anyone who can actuall use it. This is exactly as it came out of my truck. Assuming the bottom section is all stock, but the top seems to be about a 1/2 inch too short to actually fit.

Pay actual shipping, and you can have it.

Otherwise, it is headed to the scrap pile.

is this under the hood mount or external? Mine is almost all gone, so I really don't know what a proper one looks like....

Under the hood. I relocated my battery to a frame rail.

It is yours for actual shipping if you want it. I believe it is the same for all the 2R trucks of that era. Came out of a 49 2R16A.
Be glad to take measurements it you want.

The base will accept a 13 inch long battery. The top would have to be modified, as it will only cover a 11.5 inch long battery. Top is 7 inches wide. All are inside measurements.

I didn't look, but I believe this is the battery i bought....
              Height 9 1/2 in.
              Length 12 1/2 in.
              Width 6 7/8 in.
Seems close....could just add some material to make it work....

That battery would fit in the base just fine. This top will not work without being modified. It would need to be lengthened.

it's a better starting point than making one from scratch...

can I paypal you some postage for it?
