  • Fuel System: Golden Hawk Carburetor Float

In looking at carburetor kits and floats I see the Golden Hawk float listed as being the same part as the other Stromberg WW2 equipped cars. Is that the truth? Did the Golden Hawks not get a baffled float?

I guess this was too esoteric?

It is the same as the other WW carbs.

No need, the Golden Hawk VS-57 didn't have enough boost to harm them. 3-5 lbs max. Even if you had the best high output supercharger, the valve springs wouldn't allow more than 4500 rpm.

Sure, but I'm using the Stromberg WW and the GH carb enclosure on another brand engine of about 230 ci with an SN-60. I really hope it makes 6+ psi. If not I'll have a nice SN-60 with a Lark serial number to sell.
