When you say he has "serviced 3 cars"......are you saying that he actually worked on them at his repair facility, or "farmed" out the repairs? Additionally, 5 carb rebuilds seems like problems were experienced with the work, please explain.

Another place would be Jon Myer..........has been the backbone of the hobby for almost 50 years............his work can not be beat.

I have rebuilt hundreds of carburetors from small two stroke to large trucks and, with old carbs, warped body parts has been the greatest challenge.
Many mechanics over tighten screws and mounting bolts resulting in mismatched surfaces.
A large smooth flat file a piece of flat glass and sandpaper will often return these components flat.
I have had to do this with many.
Also, worn throttle shafts has a great effect, especially during idle.
Strange thing is that in most cases, the brass throttle shaft wears much more then the aluminum body?
Never quite figured out why?
