  • Interior: Radio Install 1949 Champion

Anyone ever have trouble installing the radio into a Champion?

Seems like the the speaker enclosure box hits a bracket

    Modifications necessary?

    Thanks

    No modifications should be necessary.

The instructions that Dwain sent in your other post on the same subject says to apply pressure between the firewall and the bottom of the dash. Will that do the job?

It is Kinda like stuffing 10 lbs of poop into a 5 lb bag. I've remove them, with difficulty, but never had the gumption to try to install one. Buena suerte.

Well it's installed. I had to apply mucho pressure to the firewall and it finally squeezed through scraping as it went in.

I agree. I don't want to try taking it out ever.

Sometimes when things are a tight fit, I cover them with a heavy plastic bag. That acts as kind of a lubricant to help them slide more easily. When they are in place, the bag can be cut off.
