We have started putting the engine for Dad's car back together yesterday. There are 2 holes that the oil fill tube can fit in. I know the oil fill tube goes in the front hole. Does a freeze plug go in the rear hole?

I grabbed my books thinking I could find a quick answer, but no joy. The pictures are all from the other side.
I have always thought that the hole just used a regular core plug. There's no good reason why the proper size wouldn't work. It just keeps dirt out and oil in."In the heart of Arkansas."

I finally found the 106028 P/N in the parts book last night. Checked the SI and Studebakers West websites and neither had it listed. So I dug around in our collection of misc stuff that we will probably never need but we keep anyway. Got lucky and found a 1.25" freeze plug that fit perfectly.
On to discover the next problem.Wayne
