Avanti manual shifter wiring question -two plugs?

I am now at the point where I need to hook up the backup lights, but I
dont know which plugs is which. I am assuming that the plastic plug
is for a reverse/neutral safety switch, and the black two prong (like
the turn signal pigtails) plug is for the backups. Ideas?

Someone stuck a short wire into the plastic plug to permanently connect
the two together .. which is why I assume its for a starter control.

The one that was looped is probably the plug for the neutral safety switch, for the starter control. Those wires are white with a red tracer. It's looped on cars with manual transmissions.
The other one is for backup lights.

Thanks Mike .. thats what I thought. Cool. Now I need a plug to plug
into the stock connector and into the side of the TKO.
