  • NOS Stude Oil Filter

I found a NOS spin-on filter in box with Studebaker AC-3300 label. Any idea of vehicle applications?

    Thanks.

Sure, it's right there in your Studebaker International catalog, the AC3300 Studebaker number is the the Fram PB50 top mounted filter for 1958-early 1962 6 and 8cyl. Studes.

I think I would keep that filter for show and use current manufacture filters for driving. I would be suspicious of 40 or more year old paper.

          Very Cool![8D]
Just remember that the "active component" is PAPER.
Put up on display for bragging rights, but do not
          trust in any operating environment.
If you display area is too full for this filter,
          contact me, I have space[]

Thanks for the information and good advice. I should have remembered that these were the filters (from Studebaker Canada) usually installed in the mid-sixties by dealer service on my long-gone '57 Golden Hawk. Will keep as a decorative item for my current '58 Packard Hawk and '58 President sedan.
