I'm just suggesting that within certain years there were very little differences between Hawk, Lark, etc. I'll bet if you installed a 62' taxi cab radiator in a 64' Hawk(tho different part #'s), you'd never know the difference. That's assuming a good radiator. Same with front coil springs. V8's for ragtops, wagons A/C or other.... if NOS, you'd never know.... But your'e talking 2 used radiators of "?" condition ?

Jackb, We had two to choose from, so why not use the one with the correct part number?

    Len,
I think you may be right, after further examination it appears the 1547529 in my parts pile has a six cylinder shroud on it. We lucked out as I also had a 1554341 which will work on my friend '63 289 GT.
Thanks for the quick response guys, once again the forum came through!

Isn't 1547529 for six cylinder use?

    Need help IDing radiator

I have a friend who needs a radiator for his '63 GT Hawk. I have two in my parts stash, one says 1547529, MC 5C9, the other 1554341, MC 5K1. They are both out of Hawks, so I'm pretty sure either would fit, but would either be correct for a '63? Thanks for your help.
