  • Jim Borland

Long time friend to many SDC members in both the Ontario and Hamilton Chapters, Jim Borland passed away on Sunday July 26th at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario. Jim was 74 and married to his wife Jane for 51 years and is also survived by his daughter Catherine and son Jim.

A life long fan of Studebaker, Jim owned the beautiful 1964 Daytona convertible that he sold to me several years ago and which appeared on the cover of the April 2015 issue of Turning Wheels. He was a life-long successful Canadian Tire Corporation dealer, most recently in Oakville, Ontario, until his retirement a few years ago. He was the President of the Halton County Radial Railway Museum in North Burlington, Ontario.

Visitation for Jim will be on Thursday July 30th 2015 at 10:30 am with funeral service to follow at 11:30 am, at the Turner & Porter Funeral Home on Hurontario Street in Mississauga, Ontario.
