  • Lee C. Reish,Sr, founding member of the Keystone Region Chapter

After these many decades in our presence...
No gentler human has earth known. Lee never owned a car besides a Studebaker, and drove his Avanti to our KRC Christmas Banquest just three weeks ago. Please hold Thelma in your prayers.

Very sorry to hear about this loss, he sounds like a great man who will be missed. I will keep his wife in my prayers.

        Lee was a real gentleman.
I believe that I last saw him at the South Bend International Convention. We were both staying at the Inn at St. Marys and used the same entrance in the rear. We ran into each other a few times that week.
I have known Lee and Thelma for decades. They used to drive up here for the Hudson Valley Chapter Meets.

Did Lee own a really nice green Avanti II?

His current and most recent has been described as either green or blue, depending on ones degree of color blindness. It is the only vehicle he has driven for quite a number of years.
At the memorial service today the pastor related that the family had let him sit in the Avanti and he envisioned himself flying down the Interstate and passing Lee as speedily as Lee had passed him on numerous occasions.

Please keep Thelma in your prayers.

Lee was a neat guy. When I would see that green Avanti I knew who owned it and knew Lee was in attendance.

Yes, I remember him with his nice, green, 1969 Avanti II (one of 56).

A true gentlemen salt of the earth and just a really great and nice person. Talked to him many times over the years. He will be missed.
