  • 'Pete' Kuehnel~ Whatcom County, Washington

It is with a heavy heart that I report some news I learned of late last night.

    http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/bel...7263&fhid=9057

"The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, December 9th at Westford Funeral Home, 1301 Broadway in Bellingham. A reception will follow. Committal will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorials in Pete's name may be made to the Whatcom County Humane Society, the American Legion, or the American Merchant Marines."

I have no other words at this time.

I don't think I ever met the gentleman; but it's pretty clear from his obit that he spent most of his life selflessly doing for or serving others. I'm sure he'll be missed greatly by all those who knew him.

Pete and Irene will be sorely missed here in Whatcom County, they were one of the first members of our Whatcom County SDC Chapter. Irene passed a few Months ago.

His Cars do survive him however, the sale of his '57 Silver Hawk created a new Chapter Member on Whidbey Island, WA.

I was very sorry to hear of this also. R.I.P. Pete.

Here is Pete's former '57 Silver Hawk, after he could no longer drive, he wanted his Car to be in our 2009 Annual Fourth of July Parade in Blaine, WA that the Chapter participates in, so he asked me to drive it for him, it is a great Car.
