  • Original 1961 Lark Owner Tom Morris

Kokomo IN SDCer Tom Morris passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012, following a lengthy illness. At the time of his original hospitalization, he still owned the very nice, yellow, 1961 Lark VIII Regal hardtop he had purchased brand new in 1961.

It was offered for sale when he realized he would not be leaving the hospital. Thankfully, it was purchased by another family member who will maintain it and use it as carefully has Tom and his wife Bernie have done more than 50 years.

Funeral will be noon Monday, May 21, 2012, with visitation from 10 AM-12:00 PM
at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1204 N. Armstrong, Kokomo, IN 46901. The phone number at the church is 765-452-6021.

Dinner will follow the Mass, then the burial will be at 3:30 PM at Rochester, IN.

The family plans to use Tom's Lark in his funeral, and later in a family wedding.

Happy Trails, Tom, and best to Bernie and those remaining to remember Tom. BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

    Ayn Rand:
"You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality."

    G. K. Chesterton: This triangle of truisms, of father, mother, and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it.

Nicely written, Bob, thanks for posting. I can just picture the car in my mind. It seems like one doesn't see many '61 Lark hardtops. Glad a family member is interested in keeping the car.
