  • Larry Moyer

This past week a former Studebaker designer and engineer, Larry Moyer, passed away. I got a chance to talk to him for about two hours a few months ago. In short, he was a plethera of information about the creation of the 1958 Studebaker. He didn't work at Studebaker for very long, 1955-1958. After working at Studebaker he lived in California, then back to South Bend where he spent his retirement as an artist. This is somebody who knew a lot of information about designing cars, from paper to clay models to a running prototype. He died of a stroke. Former Studebaker workers like him that somebody can just call up and talk to are getting older harded to find sadly. Larry will definately be missed.
