    What is the biggest difference between the factory supercharger installation on the '57 and the '58 Golden Hawks?

      Idle adjustment screws were "outside the air box" .

        TO: Ischuc,-----Not really!......Excepting for very early production '57 Goldens, all '57-'58 Golden Hawks had external idle and fuel mixture adjustment screws. Try Again!

          No more ideas / guesses on this Supercharger-related question?.........HINT.......There wasn't any difference in the blower or it's drive system, so................................

              To: studegary,----Not really.......the air box vent(s) were placed in various locations between '57-'58.

                  ANSWER:.....There was a major change made in fuel delivery to the carburetor. In '58, for economic reasons I suppose, the steel fuel line (as well as the vacuum advance line to the distributor) entered
                  and left the sealed air chamber through inexpensive rubber grommets....not nearly as well routed (or as efficient) as the 'hard plumbed' '57 setup.
