  • Studebaker 'Racing Trivia' Question #230

A HD six-bladed engine fan is offered by our vendors to help keep a hot running Avanti cool. It does help, but there's a problem with this fan.....what is
    that problem?

You were too quick on this <G>. When I read the question, before looking at your answer, I thought; NOISY and shortens water pump life.
I added a factory heavy duty fan to one of my 1953 Commander Starliners. It really helped slow speed cooling and addded a great deal to the noise level.

To: studegary,----Got it!.....But on the Avantis that six bladed fan dramatically increases fan 'roar'. (Must be because of the fiberglass firewall and no serious insulation)
