Thanks for the pictures. Very interesting!

The Studebaker dealer where we bought our cars sold Lloyds ( like the one behind the Skoda) briefly. I remember sitting in it.

Really neat pics. But I gotta say, one ugly little truck. Love 'em all for some reason.

The ugly Matador truck (Here in Chile we had a bunch of them also, being their life amazingly short) is so ugly, that turns to be "simpatico"

Thanks for the interesting pictures, Jan.

Yeah that Matador is kind of ugly. First thing I thought, when I saw it, was that the windshield and upper cab bears a huge resemblance to those early-model big Diesel road locomotives. It would be fun to get one of those little trucks, put a van body on it, and trick it out to look just like a locomotive.

Great pictures- love that "bulet nose" sedan, and would REALLY love to see more pictures of that little truck!

I've always been drawn to the odd and bizzare-looking cars, and those all rank right up there[8D] I'd like having any of 'em[^]

I think that is a Simca sitting in front of the Lloyd with its trunk showing. That reminds me that just last weekend I was talking with the former owner of R&W Motors here and found out that along with Studebaker and Mercedes he sold Simca and Amphicar. What a conglomeration of brands that was. Seems like several Studebaker dealers in this area sold Simcas.

The Studebaker dealers in my town in Sweden they didn`t sell Simca, but a lot of English cars Hillman,Humber Sunbeam,Triumph and from Germany Borgward, from 1946 they even sold Packard.

I only have a few photos from our local Studebaker dealer Lindahls & Co

Is that white car in the 5th photo (?..there are two of the truck, then two (X's) ) a Panhard?

Over hrere there is one in a TV commercial for an in-car navigation system.

Thanks for sharing and for being a Studebaker fan!

Joe that is a Skoda Octavia, not a Simca.

Here's a pic of a 1950 Tatraplan my dad took in Stanley Park in Vancouver in 1973. Apparently, there was an importer for Tatra in the Vancouver area at that time, if only briefly.
