UPDATE: after intense examination of some photo's of devils tower I think I did capture a UFO[:0], I think they try and mask themselves as Clouds, BEWARE [:0].
Great pictures Jeff.My youngest son(25) is mentally n physically handicapped. One of his favorite movies is"Encounters".I put the "Devils Towers" picture on my desktop and called him to come look.He knew it imediatly n was thrilled by it. Thanks a lot you made his day.
[:0] OMG! [:0] Tom has hit the nail on the head! Repeatedly!
We need to have a Studebaker Drivers Club Gnome Hunt! Matt (because he's young and energic and could then write about it) would take the gnome (which would be a what?) to a local club meet and everyone in North America would try to find it. What fun! What highway congestion! What gas useage! What an idea!
Great shots, Jeff & everyone! Reminds me of the travelling lawn gnome shots, only with Studebakers.
The hugeness of it contrasted with the monotany of the landscape is dramatic. Anyone see any ufo's while there?
Jeff, That's a really nice photo of your
'53 in front of Devil's Tower. The tower is
like a optical illusion. It's MUCH bigger than it
appears.
By the way, did you have a polarizer filter over your
lens?

I agree it is one beautiful area to visit, and a Stude cruise would just top off the experience.
On HWY 385 (Deadwood to Custer) North of the Pactola resevoir, theres a house/garage that has a lot of Studebaker memorabilia outside, I have never stopped to see what is inside.
Enjoy the meet.
Early June.
Great pictures. They really take me back. When we lived in Belle Fourche,SD we used to drive over to Devil's Tower for the afternoon. I definitely recommend it for anyone who is in the area. There is a nice trail around the base. I was never there when there weren't people scaling the face. Did you see any mule deer in the area?
