I would think the owner's manual must still be in the glove box of a '07 car. Nothing there about changing a headlight bulb?

A lot of the modern cars have a couple screws or clips that allow removal of the entire unit so you can get to the bulb.

I find it odd that a car that new would need a hedlight bulb.

Thanks Andy, the link told me just what I wanted. No, I couldn't find it in the owners manual. And yes it had a bad bulb already. Thanks again for the quick response. I had to get one in last night, it was going to Atlanta today at 2 am. You guys are a great help. THANKS!!!!

You would be surprised Gary... in 2005 we got a fleet order of new Chev pick-ups, about 12 units all told. Within 6 months we had replaced at least 1 of the brake and tailights on each unit as the bulbs had failed. You would think a quality bulb could be made in the 21st century, and if so, apparently GM did not buy any that year. [xx(]

Do those pickups use the headlights for DRLs? I hate high beam DRLs by the way, for those of us who are more glare sensitive than others, those can be downright dangerous under the right conditions.

The Chevs of that year use a special bulb just for the DRL function that is part of the parking light/headlight assembly. Interestingly though, it wasn't those bulbs that were problematic as previously mentioned.

There's something about GM cars from the last 10 years or so, they seem to eat headlight bulbs, and you have to take half the front end apart to get the bulb out. Grand AM's like my moms, seem to be designed so you HAVE to take it to the dealer to get that fixed. There was a panel that needed to come off that the fasteners broke instead of unscrewed, then you'd have to get new ones to reinstall the panel. Pretty soon you'll see the "No user-servicable parts inside" label on the hood of new cars.

In the early 90's I had to take the front bumper cover of an Acura off to remove the headlamp.
