Once again, the 275,000 gap has to be in worldwide sales. Toyota has not outsold GM on U.S. soil. GM retailed 70,000 more units domestically in June 2008 than Toyota.

Heard on network news tonight, GM has sold 275K fewer cars than Toyota in 2008. Announcer said it would be VERY unlikely that GM could make up those sales to continue their 77 year run as first in America.

Guess I'm riding the rail, bought a Saturn and a Toyota.

Yeah, he does look upset, despite making $8.4 million last year. That buys a lot of Kleenex.
Is he upset because of the turmoil he's delivered to laid off employees, pensioners and shareholders or because his poor leadership can no longer justify the looting.

That said, thanks for the nice link, Leonard. The photos are great.

Rick Wagoner doesn't look like he is celebrating!

By the way, he went to high school just a couple of miles from where I went to high school, but I don't know him.

Isn't it coincidental that GM is in more of a precarious position at their centennial than Studebaker was during their centennial...
    These are indeed strange times.
