Does anyone here have one of the possibly afflicted GM 6.2 L V8 which appear to have some prone to shortened life? The internet is full of conflicting comments and advise so I think we'll await confirmation from GM themselves to see if we are in the possible recall parameters. (Pretty sad when we waited 2 1/2 years to get our Yukon XL Denali Ultimate). Not to mention I have purchased houses for less than this truck.
So far the information I have gleamed has resulted in a band aid fix and besides the new oil they are recommending (Mobil1 0W40 SuperCar Oil) is totally out of stock due to the apparent recall. Can you imagine this sort of thing happening to our Studebaker and/or Packards?
I'll keep you posted once I receive something concrete.
