  • C&D: Hilarious Spoof on Aftermarket Warranties

Those of you who take Car & Driver: Don't miss the spoof on aftermarket warranty marketers in the September 2021 issue. It's by Ezra Dyer on Page 26.

If you've ever been annoyed by telemarketers trying to sell you an aftermarket warranty via phone (or repeated mailings) long after you've sold the vehicle in question (or even while you own it), you'll appreciate the hilarity in this writing. You'll laugh out loud. BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

    Ayn Rand:
"You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality."

    G. K. Chesterton: This triangle of truisms, of father, mother, and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it.

I answered one of those phone calls once just for fun. When I told them I owned a 1955 Studebaker President State Sedan, there was a pause, and then they hung up.
What? No warranty for my car? What the. . . ?
