  • Out Of The Clear Blue Western Sky Comes Sky King

I remember as a kid watching this series. I was convinced that the show was filmed in Phoenix. It probably wasn't but one time when I was with my mother and she was looking for various real estate in the areas away from the city I was convinced that one place was the entrance to Sky Kings place. I was unable to convince to go forward.

Sky King - Sky Robbers * Classic episode Western TV Series - YouTube

Take off your 2021 glasses and put on your 1957 glasses to watch this. Seeing it now, I realize just how "cheesy" the acting was but I am sure it sold what product was advertised.

Filmed in California. Too bad that Songbird 1 got wood rot.

Am too old to ever have watched the TV series. But I do remember the Sky King radio show. I probably still have my magic signal scope around here somewhere.

I loved that show. I wanted to be a pilot and fly a plane like that. My dad was a pilot in WWII and he sometimes watched with me and would describe how the various parts of the plane worked. Those were such a simple and easy time. The world was much slower then.
