A couple of years ago our chapter visited Ernie and his museum/workshop about 50 miles outside Phoenix. He does amazing work and is a true craftsman. And he drives his cars; a few years back he and a friend drove two of them to the Orphan Car Show here.

Somebody else gave me a link to that video, and I watched it. The narrator is very annoying, and the video is poorly produced. Even the series title "Ridiculous Rides" is lame. There is nothing ridiculous about Ernie's little cars. They are functional scale models, and are quite remarkable.

I notice that on the 1949 Mercury, the plate reads "WANNA V8", but what I really noticed is the "FOUR" in the center of the grille where Mercury has "EIGHT" ('49, not '50).
