A local company here in central Kentucky volunteered its company airport so the three high schools in our district could have a drive thru graduation ceremony. Our school's time slot was 1pm and it was really something these young people will never forget. Some on the backs of a Harley, standing out of a sunroof, or riding in grandpa's glasspack rumbling old pickup, they got to go up and down the runway - waving, honking horns, and celebrating their accomplishments. Thanks to Jessamine County Schools and R.J. Corman for making sure these newly minted people got an unforgettable send off. And the weather was nice so I took the Champ and stood in the bed ringing the "hall way dismissal" cowbell - good times.
