  • Collector-Car Reminder: Chronological Age may not result in Maturity

What a dope...but in reality, if you've been around the hobby more than 20 minutes and tried to save a car that's been rotting down in the weeds for decades only to be told "I'll junk it before I sell it that cheap," this is just a manifestation of that cutting off your nose to spite your face stupidity:

Some of the comments about this on the linked sites are amusing, to say the least. <GGG> BP

We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

    Ayn Rand:
"You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality."

    G. K. Chesterton: This triangle of truisms, of father, mother, and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it.

I forget who it was that said it, but it’s a phrase I live by: “It takes all kinds. But some kinds we could do without.”

I don't get a lot of pleasure getting angry over someone getting angry.

      I agree with these commenters...

Children who write biased BS “journalist” articles only to incense other children of the internet who grab their pitch fork, while calling the owner a child. Oh, the irony of boomers on the internet.

I’m not sure Hagerty and Hot Rod should be giving this guy his 5 minutes of fame.
...what do we accomplish with this story? --it’s not like Hagerty members were on the verge of trashing their cars due to annoying prospective purchasers.

Don’t do this again, Hagerty. Don’t give these dummies any mileage.

It has been also discussed at length on the AACA Forum:
