  • Drag racing stickers - old school

    Everyone knows that putting stickers on your vehicle makes it faster - my father and uncle knew this as well. Took some detailed photos of the stickers on the ‘51 Studebaker they raced back in the late 60s/early 70s.

    This was the car in question on the left:



    And these are stickers that were put on the inside of the rear windows. Sadly, some have faded so bad they were gone.











    And for safe measure, a couple STP stickers on the tach...

    In the 70s it seemed like every kid with a "hot" car had an STP sticker on his window. I never had anything worthy of the treatment until after I knew better.
    Was the coupe still a six or had it been swapped?

        Love the STP sticker with the NOVI Indy racecar. I've never seen that sticker before.
