      The bumpers say it's a '49 (Champion).

What do those wheel covers say?

They look like 56 Hawk wheel covers.

What I find interesting is the fact that this '49 was stashed for thirty years and is now older than my '33 was when I purchased it 25 years ago, after it had been "stashed" in a garage for thirty-one years. Be careful when you wish to be a time-traveler. Realize you are!

Yes the original hub caps were missing, all but one and I have the 57 full caps in my shop so I put them on just to dress the old gal up a little, the center's are factory emblems . I was surprised how easy the steering is compared to my other Studie's But then again it still has the old narrow bios belt tire's on it.

Looks good.... I never been so lucky to find one that solid that has been off the road that long. Congrats to you...

Nice Champion! I was actually looking at that car, and I had talked to the owner a couple of times. I found a Lark instead! Good luck and keep us posted on progress!!

And no I did not pay what was the asking price on Craig's list. The next project is putting a V-8 in my 59 lark. The 49 will be inside the shop and begin come spring.
