  • My Three Studes

My wife now says I am officially out of control.
I shocked and surprised her with the Commander.
She was aghast when I told her I wanted the Lark for a daily driver.
Then she surprised me when she suggested I buy the truck. How could I say no.
I then discovered she had an ulterior motive for the truck. She has a 1964 Aloha travel trailer and had seen photos on the web of similar trailers being towed by classic vintage Studebaker trucks. She thought that looked very cool.
    Now its "My Three Studes".

Oops! It just became "My Two Studes".
I sold the Lark. It went to a good new home in Los Angeles.

It is the 259 with overdrive. It runs great and has lots of spirit.

Sweet Starlight Coupe. I have always loved the back windows in those cars. Like riding in a dome car on the train when I was a kid.

Thanks -- our 5-year-old loves riding back there. Working on restoring the interior to near new condition this year...

Isn't that the same 1962 Lark that's for sale on ebay? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1962-...orcev4exp=true

                        Yes. It is.
I found that I did not have the space to park it (out of the weather), and my insurance bill was getting a little scary, so I listed it. The listing ended this morning. The reserve was not met so it did not sell. I am deciding whether to re-list it or wait for a while.

Naw. She grew up a beach bunny in Redondo Beach California with her little brother. She has been slowly warming up to this Studebaker thing. The more she is around them the more she likes them. It's a disease ya know.

I am considering a 2nd 50 like my car that is for sale. Main difference is it's a standard instead of an automatic -- so I guess I have the disease as well.
