Don’t have really any pics at the moment, but I just bought this ‘49 2R16a. Currently in the process of a 12V swap. Other than the 12V swap, the only thing i need to do is to replace the radiator, but not sure where to find one.

Suggest you post your pix and question about radiators on this site. There has been a lot of discussion there on radiators for these trucks.

Just FYI: Ebay usually has ads for radiators for various Stude trucks. Most are only large enough for the smaller Champion 6. The larger Commander 6 used a much larger radiator. Those used on the later V8s will fit.

Why do a 12 volt swap?

Like the green color. I have been the caretaker of four Packards for about five years, all 6V and no issues…Mike

Before purchasing the truck, someone started with a 12v Swap and never finished with it. It has a new solenoid, new starter, alternator; however, I just need to finish wiring it up. But I did happen to find an aftermarket radiator that will work.
