Sorry about your friends passing. His poor old car is begging to have some huge meats stuffed back in those rear fender wells. The car's paint looks 80's era which is coming around to be cool again. Its not fair to the Chevy and Ford parking the SNS so close to them...I wish I was alive to witness the '53 Studebakers being released to the public. cheers, junior

Saturday Night Special vs Boxcars Photoshoot Auction Update
I missed my last weeks photo shoot. Been real busy. Worked some on the SNS . I'll post that in pictures. Todays photo shoot was a sad time and a remembrance of good times for me. A life long friend and fellow hot rodder recently passed away unexpectedly . I preached his funeral a few weeks back. He is a third cousin of mine and had no close family left. The cousins remaining are trying to settle his estate. He left no will. We went down today and got his 55 Chevy. started and took it outside for a photo shoot. He got this car when he was 15 and he bought it from a friend of ours and I had it in my Dad's garage putting a cam in it. Since he didn't have license and lived in town 8 miles away I drove it home for him. That's been 59 years ago. They gave me the honors of pulling it out of the garage. I took the opportunity to take some pictures. Here I am on the road again.
I seem to be in the middle of the road
Anyway I got to his house and we opened the garage and started to remember and take pictures.
This car has been from original to hot rod, back to almost original then to a NHRA legal drag car over the years.
It now has the Huge slicks off and some rollers on. He was in the process of putting it back on the street. We got her started and took it out, got a few shots of it with another cousins Ford and of course with The Saturday Night Special.
Can you imagine why they call them box cars when you compare them to a 53 coupe ??
