  • The 54 Commander "Cody"

Well he is coming together thanks to everyone here of the Forum, Stephen Allen, Studebaker International, Larkworks, StudeRich, RadioRoy, Flashback and JClary. New wide white Cokers are sitting here now. Dashboard is on the electrical bench and all the new glass is sitting here. Final pieces of chrome are at the the platers in Dallas. I can actually see light at the end of the tunnel. A Big THANK YOU ! Commander "Cody" looks great!
I just love watching those old Commander Cody serials (it was actually Commando Cody). They are so camp. I'm glad you picked up that name for your car. Cool.

ID:	1843400Still missing a few here. I have a small farm. The red barn has 8 spots now since I built onto it. I have been keeping all my cars of my life time. Some I have now owned for nearly 50 years. I maintain them all as I learned mechanics from my dad on the farm in Nebraska. He was a diesel mechanic in the Korean War. We never took a tractor, combine, car or truck to a shop we had to fix it ourselves at home, if not it went to the hedgerow.

Thank you Bob. We had several Studebaker workhorse grain trucks in Nebraska. We'd go to Union Nebraska to the dealership there for parts. We ran those old trucks into the early 70s. Wish I had them now. That dealership stayed open into the 70s it was like going back in time.

Commander Cody (George Frayne) is still producing music and occasional touring; though I believe it is now Commander Cody and His Western Airmen.
                    Good time rockin' boogie!

Most remembered release is "Hot Rod Lincoln."
