  • NEW-OLD-REPRO- You Tell Me

    E-Bay #260193507421

Guy claims them as repops. I have never seen repro's with holes pre-stamped.

They look to have a curve in them, the stamped wording looks crisp, and they have holes. My last set of sills did not have holes stamped in them, have not looked at the new ones I got from Ed at Reedsville. These look to me as being original.

    Any clues?

yes, SI's new repros are very nice (I have a pair as well) but they do not have screw holes nor old style part number stickers on the backside.

When installed, I am guessing the lack of screw holes is the ONLY noticeable difference between old and new, so there's no reason you couldn't carefully drill the holes in exactly the right place if you had an old pair for a pattern. They are much, much nicer than the repros of a couple years ago.

If you are lucky very few will and those who do if they need and want the price will go $$$$$$ as at other auctions. Bondo your best bet is to hope some don't figure it out, Worth watching though

Hint, next time use e-mail to do your research during a active auction, now everyone knows. (No I'm not bidding)
