here's my problem child -- (the one I can't get the rear window stainless in ... see tech thread) -- and looking at other ones posted here I notice that they don't have full rear window stainless

hmmm maybe Regal trim means "regal pain?"

I am enjoying this thread - hope everyone else is too

I just love the lines of these coupes

Here is a rough '49 Biz Coupe in NC for sale...

It does start, run well and move on it's own, but I wouldn't take it far because of the brakes. The body is very, very rusty. Floors, trunk, doors have no bottoms, Front fenders bondo'ed to the hinge-pillar. Trunklid and hood are repairable. Pushbutton radio (unk cond), Climatizer, Aftermarket vintage turn signals (Signal-Stat I think?). It is a 3/OD but don't know if the OD is operable. Chrome is typical pitted.

However- The bodyshell would be good for a StreetRod, if you were going to go to a custom frame, floor, tubs, etc... It is a complete car.

I'm not going to price it for the customer- but I told them it's not going to be worth much. Maybe a few hundred for parts...

John - My '51 (shown in Leonard's post above) doesn't have the stainless perimeter trim either, just the center vertical strip. Of course, mine is a "Custom" which means bottom of the line trim. Good luck with your ongoing effort to install this.
