    I read this post over on a Brand X page and thought it would be a good thing to share with fellow Studebaker owners:

      Here's the picture. The hose has swollen on the INSIDE!

        Really can not put a Price on this info !, curious how much bigger should the hole be ?

          Yep, same thing for the '56 Power Hawk three or four years ago and all is well after replacing all three hoses...

            Similar to my post where the hill holder was plugged on my 63 R2 Hawk. Took awhile to figure out as I have all new hoses, lines and hydrovac.

              Yep, Check ALL the dates on brake hoses! Raybestos states on their website that rubber hoses "should" be replaced every 3-5 years! A little bit on the conservative side, and a better way to sell more brake hoses. I just got in another 150 feet of hose from BrakeQuip, dated 03/2016. I make them up as needed, and they are pressure tested to 3200 psi for 15 seconds. DOT states they must be pressure tested to 1500 psi for 15 seconds. I also can make up braided stainless hose that IS DOT approved.
