    Car in the photo he is holding looks to be a '42 Studebaker?? At least one car in the background definitely a Studebaker (a '53 K body). Note 1993 date. Someone must have "The rest of the story?"

    The late Gene Brim of the Portland, Oregon area. Had 25 or so Studebakers in his collection, all securely housed in a single big building. The theft of the '42 was sort of an "inside job" as I recall. The car was found and some missing parts were replaced. Gene was a long time member of the Northwest Chapter.

      I knew Gene quite well and considered him a friend. He was a president of the ASC for a few years. I do remember the theft of the coupe. I remember he did get it back eventually. That photo didn't look like him at all but now that you have mentioned it i am sure it is indeed Gene. Thanks.
