Picked up one of these a few months back on eBay. Turns out to be that I couldn't use it on my 1951 Land Cruiser since I have electric and not vacuum wipers??? If there is a way, please let me know. It still has the original "Studebaker Accessory" tag on it, but the nice original box.

I have one that came in my Land Cruiser. Just because you don't have vacuum wipers, don't mean you can't use the lighter. You can simply hook it up without having to share the vacuum by way of that "T" fitting. My electric is connected, but not the vacuum. It will still work, but not draw the smoke through the engine. It really don't require the vacuum to light a cigarette. I don't smoke, so it is only a cool (smokin' hot) accessory for me. I also have a NOS one like the one on Ebay.

Some day, when I get time, I plan to develop my special disgrontificator and power it by the draw a matic to supercharge my fluxcapacitor which I've modified to eliminate warp speed vapor lock.

The Surgeon General says: "CIGARETTE SMOKING MAY BE HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH"!!

I'm not sure if he's correct, but that's what he says.

The Drawmatic lighter predates his comment. He didn't say that until 1964.

              He's right.
Besides the stink of the smoke, all my relatives who smoked, or lived with smokers, died in their 50's.

I was in college when the news hit that smoking kills. It was a shock to me because of all those doctors advertising Camels on the radio in the early 50s. I was a non-somker and talked to one of my smoking friends about his habit. He wasn't worried because he was sure they would have a cure for cancer by the time he got it.

I bought one of these at least 30 years ago. I thought it really cool to have an accessory that not only lights the cigarette, but can smoke it as well.

I installed one in my '51 back when I used to utilize such items.

Do yourself a YUUUUUGE favor. DON'T! Just think of all the cool Studebaker parts you can buy with the money you save. Not to mention your health.
