The production order is for a three speed standard transmission. Does everything else on your truck, numbers, etc., match this order?

I just looked at the build sheet I got from Newman & Altman for my '62 1/2 ton and for transmission it just says auto and rear ratio is 4.09

My plumber had a 55 Transtar 3/4 ton with I imagine a DG-250. He was also the original owner of my current Power Hawk.

Justin, it would be a 3 speed Automatic "first gear start" short tail shaft. if I got any of this wrong the Truck People will correct this.

Your dad also had a Packard Hawk. Do you still have it?

Is it a green pickup? Did it come from Olympia?

There is a 57 or 58 Transtar sitting beside a house near here that is a V-8 automatic. The elderly owner priced it to me a few years ago for way more than it was worth. It is not where he lives and I don't think he has seen it in a long time.

I've got one.... it looks factory is the only reason I rescued it from the garbage can. Got the paperwork coming from the SNM now.
